I feel like I've done the South an injustice by painting everyone with one broad brush. Of course there are great people here and it's beautiful (we take trips to the beach and the mountains every year without having to get on a plane). I just have to mock the stupid because not to do so would be like walking by the color purple without noticing it and pissing off God. Except in my world I think a fairy loses it's light and dies or something.
Take for instance this astute observation by Princess Consuela Bananahammock left in the comments of my last post:
The cool thing that is taking over walkers here in WA is dance-walking. I've seen this one dude do pirouettes and take running leaps in the air to his music while walking. Of course, I laughed until I cried when I saw it the first time. The third time? Not so much.
Thank you, PCBH, for realizing the importance of documenting such events. Your vigilance against such behavior is much appreciated.
We are often misunderstood, we protectors of the truth, guardians of the light. Our path is riddled with obstacles and there are many who would see us silenced, yet we persevere. To witness is to be human, but to mock is to be divine.
Oh, and we have Waffle House down here in the South. And all the cool theme parks. (Because water parks in Wisconsin? Totally suck ass.)

"Yet many would see us silenced" is one of the reason I love your blog, Guardian of Truth and Light. Oh the mysterious workings Blog World...and I want a picture of said dance walk.
Hear hear. It's like living in Utah and not making fun of the Mormons. And believe me, there is a lot to make fun of. ;)
Word-to-make-sure-I'm-still-human of the day: undskili
Hey It's Wisconsin.... they call themselves Cheeseheads - you gotta give them something, just let them think the Dells are cool.
I am dying over that thing about ignoring purple! High-freaking-larious!!
Laugh out loud, seriously? Dance WALKING?
I shouldn't mock, I might have to try it, it sounds fun and I could be great blogging material for some?
Hugs!!
It's a small world we live in. I just looked at the Princess' profile. She lives in my hometown. We're talking a very small town. I now live less than 10 miles from there.
They do the "wear purple with red hats" thing up here in the north, too.
Why oh why when you are old would you want to make yourself look even worse by wearing purple with red hats?
